Care aides are non-clinical caregivers who are able to provide basic bedside care for clients who need the extra help. They are all trained caregivers* at least 2 years. (*may include some nursing students)
Unlike nurses, they are restricted from providing services in medical procedures (that requires medical devices and clinical-based skills). However for caregiving services and clients needing medical escorts, it will be more economical to have a care aide than having a nurse into your homes.
